General information about the Kite Finca

Are adult only (18+). Unfortunately, our guesthouse is not suitable for disabled people.
Check-in & Check-out
Enjoy your stay from 2pm. However you are welcome to drop off any luggage from 09:00AM.
Depart before 11am. After this time the guests may make use of the luggage storage facilities
but all possessions must be removed from the room and the room key handed back to the
KiteFinca staff. Late check-outs will incur a charge of an additional night.
Check-in: Between 14:00 and 22:00 the keys will be handed over to the guest. Please note that
you need to let us know your arrival time in advance (time window 1 hour). Special
arrangements for key collection can be made. Please get in touch via telephone (or whatsapp).
Check-out: Please hand the keys to the KiteFinca staff (Eva / Ferry) unless otherwise agreed. In
general, keys can also be left at the designated place in the shared living room. Close the room
door on departure. It does not need to be locked.
We apply a fine for lost keys and damaged locks. The cost for replacement of lost room keys or
damaged locks is applicable and a total amount of 50EUR for lost keys and 100EUR for lock
replacement to be paid immediately.
A deposit of €100 may be collected, for any damage to the rooms, shared facilities and property
must be paid upon arrival.
There will be no refunds for early departures, for breakdowns of vans, appliances, etc, if said
breakdown is due to weather and /or other conditions over which the house owner has no
Any oversights or errors in sales literature, on third party websites, order forms, quotations, price
lists, order acknowledgements, despatch notes, invoices or other documents issued by us may
be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or
as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.
For reservations and bookings, the KiteFinca needs your details. Your data will be handled with
care by our staff. Your data will not be provided to third parties other than the party who will
eventually carry out the services booked. We retain the personal data – which is necessary for a
booking – no longer than necessary for the purpose of processing and administration. Some of
the data can be archived for statistical purposes. In addition to the things mentioned above; we
pass on the information, such as personal data, to our partner(-s) which will execute your
agreement. More information about Privacy can be found in our privacy statement.
Parking is available free of charge for all guests. Only park at the designated spaces. Do not
leave any valuables inside your car while it is parked. We can not accept responsibility for the
loss or theft of any items while your car is parked.
Toilets and shower
Please note we are an eco-friendly guesthouse. We use as many biodegradable products as
possible and we want to advise and motivate our guests to do the same.
In addition, of course: No cigarette buds, cotton buds, tampons, sanitary pads or any other
material, other than toilet paper in moderate quantities may be flushed down the toilets!!!
Charges will occur for any blockage.
Guests have no access to rooms and areas marked “PRIVATE”.
Common areas and guestrooms
We would like to encourage our guests to use the common areas to relax, recreate or work.
Please note that guests renting a room are allowed to use all common areas including coffee
machine, tv, (board-)games and books. Leave the common areas as you’ve found them: which
is hopefully clean and tidy! If by any chance you notice any dirt please inform the owner.
Avoid making noise or disturbing the other house guests. It’s quiet between 23:00 and 08:00.
Do not use flammables for heating, cooking or the like candles, etc, in the guest room or other
in-house areas. Cooking, eating and storing food in the rooms is not allowed.
Use of the pool is at your own risk. Always rinse before entering the pool!
The pool is at your disposal from 09h00 until 21h00. Please keep the area clean at all times.
Children are allowed near the pool without adult supervision. Please inform kids not to urinate in
the pool water (let us keep the pool hygienic for other guests as well).
Outside cooking and open fire (incl. BBQ)
Is forbidden from May until September because of fire hazards due to drought. For the rest of
the year we advise our guests to first consult the KiteFinca staff regarding this topic.
Pets are not allowed in the rooms and the common areas inside the guesthouse.
For the campervan parking spots, pets are allowed in consultation. With the exception of
assistance dogs are allowed in consultation.
Valuables, security and storage
We do not provide safety boxes for valuables. We take responsibility measures, to ensure the
safety and security of all guests and their possessions. Note that guests retain final
responsibility for their own safety and security. Therefore we advise to keep your rooms locked
at all times when absent.
The KiteFinca reserves the right to only store lost and forgotten items for a period of 2 weeks.
After this period, items will be disposed of and our guesthouse can no longer assist in
recovering lost or forgotten items. We take no responsibility for forgotten or lost items and
cannot guarantee that items can be found/recovered. Postage costs, where incurred, are to be
paid by the receiver of the items. We take no responsibility for items that are lost or damaged
In addition to this topic: we will hold you responsible for any damage or loss caused to our
property by your acts or omissions, default, accident or neglect. By booking with us you agree to
indemnify us and to pay us on demand an amount reasonably required to make good or to
rectify such damage or loss caused by you. Normal wear and tear are excluded. Please report
any accidents or incidents to the guesthouse management in connection with any property
Because we have several guests, we ask you to respect each other concerning cleanliness of
the common areas and noise level. We reserve the right to end a reservation if a guest becomes
a disturbance/nuisance to others including management. Please respect the house, area and
The KiteFinca can not be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents the
guest house from fulfilling its obligation to guests. However, our guesthouse will take necessary
steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:
* Unanticipated interruption to electricity, water, sewage to and from the guest house;
* Industrial actions, civil uprising or criminal activity;
* Fire, frost, flooding, wind or any other force major event.
Please respect the house and its occupants.
We are dedicated to the protection of our planets’ resources and would encourage our guests to help us by:
* Switching off lights and sockets when not in use;
* Avoid any unnecessary use of electricity;
* Ensuring that taps are always turned off after use;
* Avoiding the unnecessary use of towels – you can ask for fresh towels at the KiteFinca staff.
* Sort the rubbish i.e. paper, plastic and glass;

In addition to this we would like to encourage you to
*Make use of the eco-friendly products provided such as showergels;
* Make modest and conscious use of the products provided by the KiteFinca’s garden such as
lemons and avocados;
* Enjoy a vegetarian or vegan diet at the KiteFinca.
The cancellation policy of the KiteFinca is as follows:
More than 21 days upon arrival → 100% refund
21-14 days upon arrival → 75% refund
7-14 days upon arrival → 50% refund
Less than 6 days upon arrival → 0% refund
Any amendments to your booking must be made at least 72rs prior to your arrival at our
guesthouse. Accommodating your amendments is subject to availability.
A cancellation must be reported in writing within 3 days, after the event that made it necessary
to cancel the booking entirely (or partially). You are only entitled to a (partial) refund to your
insurer (when insured) if you have taken out cancellation insurance yourself with an insurance
company and for a valid reason. We can only accept a cancellation if it has been submitted in
writing by the headbooker. A fellow traveler is not jointly and severally liable and can therefore
not report cancellation.
